The final volume in the HACC travels featuries three major trips in Canada's Northwest plus six others. The book's main story is Lands Forlorn and the photographs of George Douglas from 1911-12. In addition, Arctic Land Expedition from Lake Athabasca to the Back River over 50 days and 1000 miles.  The third feature chapter, Across the Arctic Mountains, covers the route from the Mackenzie River to the Yukon. Other chapters include the Missinaiabi, Winisk, Churchill, Fond du Lac and Nahanni rivers plus Quetico Park and the Lake Superior region.
